EIT, Inc., a 30-year old Sterling, Virginia based engineering and electronics manufacturing firm decided to expand its operations into Danville, Virginia. The availability of a quality workforce, a pro-business local government and excellent community infrastructure provided the rationale for this site selection.

About EIT, Inc.

EIT is a privately owned company founded in 1977 by Joe T. May to provide full contract electronic design and manufacturing services to OEM's from product concept through distribution and aftermarket support.

EIT operates multiple sites with headquarters located in a 60,000 square foot facility, located near Washington-Dulles International Airport in Sterling, Virginia. Click here for a map to EIT headquarters.

EIT serves a broad customer base throughout the United States and Canada in the medical and analytical instrumentation, industrial process controls and communications industries. EIT is particularly proud of its many customer partnerships which average over 10 years of continued dedication to creative design and quality production.

EIT employs over 230 people in engineering, production and technical support positions. Everyone at EIT is focused on the customer's service requirements - from design through delivery - with particular emphasis on cost, quality and on-time delivery.

EIT has received numerous "Outstanding Quality" awards from its customers over the past 30 years. In 1990, EIT was named "Virginia Employer of the Year." In 1990, and again in 1995, EIT received the Virginia Society of Professional Engineers award for new products as a result of its design efforts. We are committed to continuing our leadership role in our markets and in our community.

EIT South's Quality Management System is  ISO 9001:2000 registered by Quality Systems Registrars, Inc. ("QSR"). This registration reflects EIT South's stead-fast commitment to quality across the full range of electronic manufacturing services through a dedicated program of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.  Additionally, the cabling plant operates to IPC-A-620 (current revision) standards and is frequently visited by UL and CSA inspectors as several of our product lines are listed. The printed circuit board assembly operation complies with IPC-A-610 (current revision) standards.
